The Ajuntament of Castelldefels  has just put up a link to some more information about the International Brigades graffiti and the events

As an adjunct to the Barcelona homenage commemorating the Seventieth anniversary of the Leaving of the International Brigades between 23rd and 35th October, the Ajuntament of nearby Castelldefels have organised a series of events concerning the graffiti left by International Brigaders in the prison at Castelldefels. Over seventy pieces of graffiti have been preserved with interpretative panels and this collection is probably quite unique since similar graffiti at Madrigueras church has been whitewashed a couple of years ago and is no longer visible.

In summary the priogramme on Sunday 26th October after the homenage for those who are staying on is as follows:

11.00am. Guided visit of the graffiti

12.30. Reception of Internaional Brigaders by the alcalde of Castelldefels.

13 00  Guided visit with English commentary of the graffiti.

A 38 seater coach will collect Brigaders and those wishing to attend the event at 11.30 from Hotel Calipolis and return after the event.

First seats would of course be offered to Brigaders and their assistants but I have been asked to collect names of those interested in coming. I will send them a copy of the invitation confirming their place on the coach. Castelldefels is only twenty minutes by car from Sitges.
